Tibetans struggle with poverty, inadequate education and competition because the main beneficiaries of economic success in Tibet are the Chinese-dominated urban areas as opposed to rural areas where 87 percent of Tibetans live.
The Tibetan people are forced to leave their homes and Nomad settlement policies relocate Tibetan nomads to pre-fabricated housing communities, thereby separating them from the sustainable livelihoods they have practised for centuries. Where are the protests? Does tourists still believe that any money goes to the Tibetans?
